MEGADETH Bassist Says The Group's Tour 'Just Gets Better Show After Show'

November 12, 2004

MEGADETH bassist James MacDonough has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"We got in early [Thursday] morning near Philly and we all slept pretty late. Friday morning we leave around 6 am to take a train back to NY, where we'll be taping for 'Headbanger's Ball'. I think it will air the following night, if I'm not mistaken. We'll make it back for sound check around 5 pm in Philly.

"About the NY show, just utterly breathtaking to be in front of so many people on an American stage. It just gets better show after show. For those of you that don't hear the songs you wish to, all I can say is that we're working them in as fast as we can. There are a lot of things going on besides just the performances, so time will allow more in the near future.

"We really enjoy the meet & greets and talking one on one with everyone, getting their opinions, sincerely awesome. We usually get to the people outside when we're on the way out, and sorry that you have to wait so long.

"Another highlight was talking with Mike Portnoy from DREAM THEATER, a very nice and extremely talented individual, Glen, Shawn and I are big fans and were actually watching their DVD on the bus the night before.

"The Droogs at every show make it so easy to let go on stage and have fun, a big transfer of energy, the best kind. It seems if there is any naysaying on the boards that it is from people who haven't seen the show yet. So I say to you, just hold your tongue, or your fingers in that case."
